Sculpture is the media of choice for the ultimate expression of art for the physical world. It's form, shape, and ability to occupy a space that the viewer is required to walk around, brings forth a world that real and present. In order to see an entire sculpture, we have to walk around the piece and gaze at all sides. As an artist working on sculptures, the difficulty is to "see" all the sides as we work on one surface. My sculptures all have painted sides. Most have at least 13 paintings on the various sides. It's amazing to me when the piece is finished and there is a unity to all sides. Chris.
